My first ever console i owned was the Sega, i thought it was a beast. With 16 Bit Graphics memory it meant those little blocks on the screen seemed so impressive to my eyes, but the game i loved most on the sega was Sonic so that is were i shall start.

Sonic was that small blue hedgehog with red trainers and the speed of light and his epic journey from the start of the level to the end in which a boss battle battle was fought. But not just any boss battle it was Dr. Robotnik, i could play for hours amazed by the raw speed and the pace at which all those block ledges flew across the screen. You were supposed to collect the rings but i didn't i went as fast as i could and hoped i would't fall down the holes or step upon those diamond edged spikes. But it wasn't all mine as my sister was older taller and quite scary back then so when she wanted a go i backed down and lowered myself to that little ginger character, Tails, she was slow and couldnt keep up, and the countless times i told my sister to slow down because tails couldn't run as quick. But my sister didn't care and she would speed across the map, take all the excitment and at the very end tails, who was left behind, would fly down from the top of the screen and i would not see that level untill my sister went off the sega. Hard Life. But when on my own, such a great game.

As my age went up so did the technology that was being accomplished and i was lucky enough to get a playstation from christmas. It was the most impressive thing i'd seen in years, 3d graphics, no side scrolling in action games either it was a revamped graphics engine and accomplished the most impressive characters instantly rcognisable today.

I loved to play tekken, smashing those buttons for hors on end was so addictive.
